How Does Intuitive Talk Therapy Work?
Intuitive Talk Therapy offers wisdom and insight into one’s difficulties from a more spiritual source than standard counselling techniques that you may be more familiar with. The changes you experience will impact on your whole being – mind, body and spirit combined. Intuition is used when we may not be conscious of what is blocking us, where even to begin, or when we seek a higher source of understanding. This form of therapy meets you where you are in your life and your belief systems.
An aspect of my gifts is the precise sense to identify the root of your limiting beliefs and those things holding you back from your greatest potential. I see your words and energy like one might experience a movie. From there I guide you to align with what your heart wants and what your soul connects to.
In a therapy session, I may find that two facts in your story don’t quite line up, or you responded in an unusual way given the circumstances, or something was said that didn’t make sense. I may not necessarily be conscious of exactly what caught my attention, but through intuitive listening I will identify the root cause, something that perhaps you may not even be fully aware of in your conscious mind.
When I’m in advice-giving mode, I register what my intuition says, draw conclusions from it and act on intuitive listening by advising the person. My intuition drives and directs the process. But when I’m coaching, I register what my intuition says without trying to figure out what it all means. My curiosity points me to interesting places that I then ask the client to explain and explore. By using my intuition to ask instead of tell, I keep you, the client, in charge while still offering a valuable, active contribution to the process.
A big part of that contribution is the feedback I offer you in the form of questions. By asking about what made me curious, about what seems most important, I rapidly focus people on the point of greatest significance and meaning in their own thoughts and words. My curiosity brings focus, but the insights, conclusions and solutions I’m focusing on are the client’s, not mine. The client is still in charge of the conversation. My contribution as a coach is employing my intuition to help the client process more effectively.
